Flipkart Product Listing Best Practices: Passing Strict QC with Flying Colors
Back to all articles

The Flipkart QC Challenge
Unlike Amazon, where listings can go live Almost instantly via the flat file upload, Flipkart enforces a heavily moderated Quality Check (QC) process. Even minor discrepancies in image resolutions, category-specific node paths, or missing mandatory attributes will result in QC failures.
Essential Listing Best Practices
- Pristine White Backgrounds: The primary image for Flipkart listings must have a pure white background (RGB 255,255,255). Any shadow, watermark, or lifestyle prop in the first slot guarantees immediate rejection.
- Mandatory Attributes: Depending on your vertical (e.g., Electronics, Fashion), ensure you fill out everything marked with a red asterisk. Provide precise dimensions, weight, and correct EAN/UPC barcodes.
- Avoid Prohibited Keywords: Flipkart strictly forbids promotional text like 'Best Seller', 'Sale', 'Free Shipping', or comparison words like 'Better than X' within titles or bullet points.
